Due to an increased workload, our proccessing time for residential permits is approximately 2  weeks, commercial permits is 4 weeks.  We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.  Please plan accordingly.  Thank you!


 Notice on Holiday & Office Hours:  

Town Hall will be closed on:  November 7, 10, 23 & 24 and December 22, 25 & 29

Additionally, the Secretary for Code Enforcement will not be in the Office on the following dates:  November 8-9, 15-17 and December 26-28.  Please be advised that the Code Enforcement Officer will be in on those dates but Office Hours will be limited to 10am to 12pm.  Please understand that delays may occur in the return of phone calls, emails and permit/co issuance.

Building Permits are required for (but not limited to) the following items: (Please contact our office prior to starting work to determine if your project requires a permit)

  • Accessory Storage Structures over 144 sq ft
  • Pools/Hot Tubs
  • Any Size Decks/Porches
  • Oil Tank Removal/Replacement/ Abandonment
  • Solar Panels/Wind Energy Conversion
  • Natural Gas Conversion
  • Signs
  • Demolition
  • Renovations/ Alterations/ Conversions
