I would like to thank everyone who came to the Town Board meeting on March 8, 2018. We are in the process of reviewing all your questions, concerns and suggestions with our town engineer and Planning Board attorney. As most of you are aware, it was the Planning Board and not the Town Board that was Lead Agency for the project. As Lead Agency, they were responsible for the review of the project. They hired outside experts and reviewed all information with them. We are currently actively working on getting the answers to your questions, concerns and suggestions. Also, we have been in the process of hiring a consultant for monitoring of the air, water and noise quality to insure that CPV adheres to the standards established when they received site plan approval.
Thank you,
Wawayanda Town Board

CPV Emergency Action Plan - The worst case distance under any conditions would be 800 Meters from the 4 corners of the facility. The residents affected would be notified by the county code red or the FEMA IPAWS program. To view a map of the areas within the 800 meters, click on the link below. Anything within the red circles would potentially be shelter in place unless otherwise directed by emergency personnel.

With the rising costs of Electric and Natural Gas, we suggest you visit
NY Power to Choose. This website gives you the opportunity to shop for lower Electric and Natural Gas supplier rates. You will need a copy of your most recent Orange & Rockland Utility bill to compare the rates.
You will be asked to enter your zip code and the website will give you all the current rates available to you. You want to compare how much you are paying per KWH for electric. If you have natural gas, you will want to compare how much per CCF you are paying. Some utility suppliers have fixed rates for a period of months, while others have variable rates. Below, we have given examples of where to find your current rate on your utility bill.
